Who we are
The Kindred Folk are an independent home fragrance company from Glasgow, Scotland. Maura and Jordan, two kindred spirits, founded The Kindred Folk in 2020 and have been self taught from the beginning. A hobby driven from our shared love of nature and the outdoors, which soon quickly became a true passion of ours. Since then, The Kindred Folk have now moved into a dedicated candle-making studio near Loch Lomond where all of our products are lovingly handmade.

The Kindred Folk was an idea that born from a true passion and strong desire to create a home fragrance company that captured important moments of stillness and calm encapsulated in nature. The tranquility of nature has always allowed us to slow down, re-focus our minds and appreciate life without the unwanted distractions. We soon realised how we wanted to replicate that same feeling within our home, and then our mission was simple: to create candles inspired by nature, designed to support you in transforming your daily routines into mindful moments. In a world where everything is so fast-paced, it's never been more important to slow down, re-connect with nature and focus on enjoying your rituals.

Our Commitment
We are committed to only using ingredients that are safe to burn within your home. Our wax is a completely natural and sustainable blend of rapeseed and coconut wax, which is free from paraffin, palm and synthetic additives. We are entirely plastic free and our packaging is fully recyclable and biodegradable. We are also very passionate about minimising our carbon footprint by responsibly sourcing our materials from local suppliers. Our candles are wicked, labelled, poured and packed by us in small batches, and we have absolutely loved the entire process of developing and creating earth-friendly products for you to enjoy.
